Bharat Sevashram Sangha, NJ Chapter is celebrating  2021 Durga Puja in the temple. We will be strictly following the  CDC and NJ guidelines because of Covid-19 pandemic. We request all the devotees to pre-register for the puja.

Durga Puja Registration

(1) Mahalaya 

Matri Bandana, Chandi Path, Mahalaya songs and Bhakti Geeti that are related to Ma Durga.

(3) Sasthi puja
Sri Sri Durga Devir Bodhan, Sasthi-Vihita puja, Amantran and Adhivash.
Date: October 11th, Monday.  Time: 6PM – 8PM

(4) Maha-Saptami-Mahapuja
Date: October 12th, Tuesday.
Morning Puja & Arti – 9AM – 12PM
Evening Puja, Arti – 6PM – 8PM

(5) Maha-Astami-Mahapuja
Date: October 13th, Wednesday
Morning Puja – 9AM – 12PM
Sandhi Puja – 1:45PM – 3PM
Evening Puja – 6PM – 8PM

(6) Maha-Navami-Mahapuja
Date: October 14th, Thursday
Morning Puja – 9AM– 12PM

Prasadam will be served in a sealed box. Eating inside the temple complex is strictly prohibited (No exception).

Since this Covid-19, the ashram is going through a very difficult period of time. Please donate generously, so that we could continue our selfless service to you. You could donate to ashram by means of Cash, Check or through online. 

You could donate these things for Upcoming Durga puja.
Flowers in sealed plastic bags, Fruits, Dry fruits, Rice, Dal, Green vegetables (Sealed Plastic Bags), Masalas, Drinking water,  bathroom supplies,  Cleaning liquids, Toilet papers, various sizes of Garbage bags, paper towel etc.

Bharat Sevashram Sangh of New Jersey will celebrate DURGA PUJA THIS YEAR – 2021 under the strict Ordinance of the State of New Jersey. Due to Covid19.  we are going through a Financial crunch and as such need generous charitable donation from our Devotees to able to celebrate Durga Puja and other religious activities under the prevailing NJ State instructions.

As such, with heavy heart we are forced to stipulate minimum suggested charitable donation with a request for generous non-refundable, charitable donation possible. We will have to conduct the Puja strictly following the Regulations and instructions stipulated by the NJ State due to COVOID19, which are as follows:

  1. CDC and NJ Guidelines related to COVID-19 will be strictly followed. All visitors must wear MASKS and maintain “Socially Distanced” during their entire visit. Always use Hand sanitizer.
  2. Decision to perform Puja is based on existing condition of Covid19 Rules and Instruction of the NJ State.
  3. If COVID19 situation changed and new Regulation and Instructions announced by the State, we may have to change the rules accordingly. Charitable Donation are non-refundable.
  4. To maintain the NJ State regulation only limited devotees will be allowed inside the temple. To allow more devotees, we have broken into two session (Morning and Evening). 
  5. Pre registration online required by all and will be on first come first serve basis.
  6. Video and Photography is prohibited.

BSS Durga Puja 2021 -Rules Guidance (Based on New Jersey State Ordinance & Regulations)

  1. All devotees interested to attend must pre-register on line (No exception) for the session/sessions, they are interested. NO WALK-INS will be allowed to enter under any circumstances.
  2. Devotees will be allowed only in the session they are registered. Unfortunately no exception can be made.
  3. Everyone must bring the email confirmation as a proof of their registration, and show the same, at the front entrance to the Security/Volunteer. All must enter from the front door of the temple only. Entrance from other doors will not be allowed.
  4. Everyone must bring signed copy of COVID-19 Liability Waiver Form for each session and provide it at the front desk.  No exception can be made. Click here to download the COVID-19 Liability Waiver Form.
  5. Puja Offerings: Only items such as Saree, dhuti, gamcha, candles, incense, sindoor, dry fruits and sealed sweets packet will be accepted.
